Me: Hello, my friend!

Sandie: Aha, so this is how it works! How are you?

Yay! I'm doing well, thanks. How are you?

Huge congrats on I WOULD DIE FOR YOU!

I'm really good. The sun is shining in London so what's not to love?

Thank you! I'm thrilled with the response

We've got a sunny spring day over here too!

Are you in NY?

Yes! Right now I'm in the Catskills

It's a bit unfair when the weekend was too cold and rainy to rock climb and now it's a work day

but we'll take it

Isn't it always a work day when you're a writer?

Honestly, I got a good amount of writing done over the last few days because I was trapped inside

I always try to reframe rainy days as "good writing days"

But let's talk about your new book! Can you share what it's about?

Yes! So I Would Die For You is set in the iconic 1980's. Cassie is obsessed with Ben Edwards, the lead singer with Secret Oktober, the band of the moment, and there isn't much she wouldn't do to get close to him...

But he's got his eye on someone else!

A chance meeting with Cassie's sister, Nicole, makes him realise that he's done with groupie life, and when Cassie finds out, not only does her obsession take a dark turn, but she's determined to take back what she believes is rightfully hers. At whatever cost

Fast forward to the present day and we see the devastating impact her actions had on Nicole, and the ghosts that she's been running from ever since, as she's tried to rebuild her life thousands of miles away...

But now, Cassie's back - to finish what she started - and she'll take no prisoners, not even her own sister 😱

There are SO MANY elements I love here: a sister story, parasocial fandom, the hot rock star...

What was the inspiration for this book?

Ah, the million dollar question!

Haha, I'm sure I'm the first to ask you that...

This was a really personal one for me, as I have a confession to make...
